Clouded

Ok so I know I said I was going to show you some of my new photography at the beginning of next week, but I decided to post one tonight and Ill post another tomorrow night to keep you readers busy over the weekend! This is just something I messed about with out of sheer boredom.. I know its not beautifully finished or edited but its a first at doing this type of work so hopefully when I have another go it will look a bit more professional!

Just A Start..

So I listened to everyone's advice from my last post - And decided to get a very subtle version of the golden highlights.. It didn't quite turn out how i wanted, but Its growing on me.. I think because my hair is so naturally black it refused to budge colour to much, so the result is not as dramatic as in the inspiration photos. With a bit of surfing and sunshine i'm hoping the dyed areas will lighten a little more.
For all of those who said I shouldn't change my dark hair I do appreciate your comments, I just fancied a change!! It wont be a permanent change though as in the winter I will certainly revert back to my natural black...
Its quite hard to even see what is going on in this photos from my laptop camera - Will show it off better in an outfit post tomorrow!

But Still, I am In Love With This Lie

Yay, new stuff! Well... newish stuff.. I got a few parcels in the post today of things I have been buying on ebay. I got these Topshop Unique jeans which are a little hard to get over my hips but once there they fit beautifully! Also got this jacket (another topshop item). Then later in the day I went to look in the charity shops down the road and found this checked shirt from 'Kimichi & Blue' which is a brand sold at urban outftters. So all in all a good day for bargains.


I wanted to get everyone's advice on an idea I have been toying with regarding my hair.. I saw these pictures on 'studded hearts' and am tempted to go for this ombre gold highlighted look with my hair. I used to dye or cut my hair all the time but recently Ive left it all natural and its become a little boring. Not sure whether I could pull this look off? My roots will certainly be dark enough to give a good contrast! Let me know what you think...

Hold On Love

It is so beautifully sunny here at the moment, I have been outside enjoying the gorgeous weather - reading a book and collecting many freckles on my face!
Had a really perfect weekend spent with friends and went to a great night of music and gigs on friday. Its all been topped off nicely with this lazy sunday.
In these pictures I am wearing a vintage blouse over a simple vest top from the kate moss at topshop collection. The cut off shorts are D.I.Y and the cowboy boots are from Topshop from a very long time ago (I used to wear them to death!)

We Can Create

I thought I would share some more photography with you seeing as I have had such a wonderful response in comments. The first is a self portrait I did a while ago after backcombing my hair rather a lot! I wish my hair would stay this volumous at all times! Im very jealous of those with naturally wild curls.

Falling Out Of Love At This Volume

I went to a bootsale this morning and picked up this amazing vintage jacket for £4. Its a little big but i might try and take in the shoulders to give it a more tailored look - or perhaps i will just wear it as a slouchy fit. Im also wearing cut offs I made from old jeans and a vintage cropped blouse.


This weekend has been beautiful sunny weather here in England, and so Charlie, Ebn and I decided to go to the beach! We went to a beautiful little place in Wales called Porthcawl where we did some surfing, tennis, and drawing in the sand!

High waisted skirt from H&M which I bought on ebay, Vest top from the kate moss at topshop collection which I bought from a charity shop for £2, And the vintage satchel that everyone always asks me about - I bought it from a car boot sale and I'm sorry I cant tell you where to get one!! I guess the best place to look would be on ebay?
So glad we are finally getting some sunshine here in England now!

In reply to everyone who wanted some more info on the earring from the previous post - I bought it off ebay and it's from the brand 'Alchemy gothic'. There were quite a few on ebay when I was looking!

Waiting On Wild Horses

Wearing a cute little dress from H&M which i got for 50p at a bootsale, also wearing my favourite hat also from H&M and an amazing new earring piece i recently purchased - It goes through a single hole in the lobe then snakes its way all around the ear, dont know how well you can see it in these photos, but im in love with it!
