The Way Young Lovers Do

This cute little dress which I bought second hand originally came from H&M. I usually dont really find the fit of H&M clothes works for me but I am really pleased with this little number! Its got a cute nautical feel and the empire waist and general shape is so flattering particularly for a slightly pear shaped figure like mine! I gave my usual little leather boots a slightly new twist by wearing some chunky leg warmers to make them a little more slouched...  I'm also wearing a simple button up top underneath and a lovely vintage necklace which was a gift from my boyfriend.

I really want to get hold of some over the knee socks at some point as I think this would top this outfit off a little better, If anyone has come across some nice thick over the knee socks for a cheapish price then do let me know! Whilst I am asking for your help...Im realllly desperately seeking a pair of wedge heeled booties similar to the Emma Cook at Topshop style....If anyone has any ideas where I could find some I would be forever grateful for your help!!

Those of you who have left comments, I will try and check out all your blogs and reply over the weekend! xxxxx

Overture

I have been wondering whether I could possibly pull off the high waisted vintage denim cut offs for a while now, and so i decided to make a lesser version of the classic Levi's ones with an old pair of jeans my mum gave to me. So.. here they are..they are not as high waisted as the ones im after, But i think i might get some old Levi 501's on ebay and cut them myself! Im wearing these shorts with a RICK OWENS top!!! thats right, RICK OWENS. My absolute favourite designer. I know its only a simple top but it feels sooooo good. I managed to find it on ebay for an absolute bargain. I'm also wearing a sleeveless biker jacket I picked up at a jumble sale a while ago and vintage leather boots.

Im excited to say I have been named as 'blogger of the week' on weardrobe.com, which is a great extra bonus to being in their top 100 bloggers! So thanks to the people at weardrobe for that!

Seeing as most of my recent posts have been outfits, here are a couple of pretty pictures from in my inspiration folder. They are by photographer Alex Covo who I discovered on dripbook.com.

The Libertine Is Locked In Jail

I love this coat!!!! I found it at a bootsale in a big pile of clothes which I think had come from a house clearance, so i filled up a bin bag of items and this gem was amongst them! I really love the way it is tailored and its an authentic vintage one. I have added a brooch to give it a bit of a lift and have paired it with a wooly jumper, leggings, and skirt which is from urban outfitters.
I actually forgot to mention before that I have been listed in the weardrobe top 100!! I was so happy to see myself there, and the book is going to be at New York fashion week which is huuuugely exciting.

Thanks to everyone for the lovely comments left xxx

Faded Dreams

Thankyou so much for the wonderful response the photos from yesterday got! Ebn has been checking out all your comments and he is really pleased to see such a great response. I thought seeing as everyone enjoyed the previous ones I would post some more stills from another scene! So here they are. These ones were taken as the light was fading so they are very grainy which personally I am a fan of! It was very cold at this point though - I wouldn't recommend twirling around in a halter neck evening gown on an ice cold winters evening! x

edit: Just thought I would add for anyone commenting about the dress - Its actually my mothers from when she was in her 20's and it fits beautifully! It's even more elegant and stunning in person.

Where The Wild Roses Grow

These are all stills from a film my boyfriend, Ebn, Has made! There are loads more of other scenes so I will post another set tomorrow. I really love them and am very proud of his gorgeous photography. I'm going to try and help him set up a blog simply for posting photos at some point so will let you all know if this happens. For now though, you can hype is first attempts on lookbook!

In The Attic With The Stars

Hello everyone! Hope you have all had a great weekend. I am absolutely knackered after having a great night out with friends and boyfriend last night. Think I might be coming down with another cold when I have only just got over the last one...Oh dear.
I found this amazing cardigan in a charity shop for £1 the other day. I think it has been shrunk in the wash and used to be lot bigger but its still big and baggy just the way I like cardigans so its perfect! I dont know if i already mentioned this, but the sailor style top from my recent outfit post is for sale on my ebay account for those of you who loved it so much! Any questions just get in touch.
I have been a bit lazy about getting back to everyone and checking out all of your blogs, but I will make sure I set some time aside to have a look at everyones sites this week.
The other things I'm wearing: Vintage denim shirt, T-shirt from www.randrtees.com, Leggings from h&m, vintage boots. xxx

A Pocketful Of Posies

I went to a car boot sale this morning ( For those of you who dont have car boot sales - its a sunday morning event here in Britain where people gather in a feild or carpark and sell their old stuff from the back of their cars! - it sounds odd I know!) But at this car boot sale I bought some great things including this gorrrgeeeous little vintage sweater for a mere £1! It was worth braving the freezing cold just for this!
